Why is French Bloom’s non-alcoholic sparkling wine not Champagne?
Are you looking for a sparkling and festive drink but don't want the alcohol content of Champagne? Alcohol-free sparkling wines like French Bloom might just be your new go-to. Even if the structure of our sparkling wines reaches a noble character comparable to those of Champagnes, fine wines and spirits, some differences remain. Let's pop open a bottle of knowledge and explore!
1. Our French alcohol-free organic sparkling wines are made in Languedoc, France, not in Champagne
The Champagne region and the wines of Champagne are a Controlled Designation of Origin/ Protected Designation of Origin. This means that Champagne can only be produced in the Champagne region of France, and its production process is regulated by strict rules. The traditional method of Champagne involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle, giving the wine its signature bubbles. On the other hand, our alcohol-free organic sparkling wines French Bloom are produced in Languedoc, France, made from organic Chardonnay with a dealcoholization process with an addition of the finest bubbles at the end.
2. Our sparkling wines are totally alcohol-free, at the opposite of Champagne
As the name suggests, our alcohol-free sparkling wines have 0.0% of alcohol. Champagne, on the other hand, typically has an alcohol content of around 12%. Our different organic cuvées are considered as a great alternative for those who want to enjoy the taste and experience of effervescent wine without the buzz and negative side-effects. You can expect a whole new sensorial journey with French Bloom.
3. The sensorial journey of our alcohol-free sparkling wines is different than Champagne
Champagne is known for its complex and rich flavors, with notes of fruit, yeast, and toast. The aging process also adds depth and character to the wine. Our French Bloom non-alcoholic organic sparkling wines have another structure, though equally complex and elevated. According to the cuvées, expect a well-balanced flavor profile between acidity and minerality, with aromatic notes of citrus, berries, and florals. The absence of alcohol can also make them seem slightly more gourmand than Champagne. While it may taste indulgent, our alcohol-free organic collection is 5 times less caloric than traditional Champagne.
4. French Bloom sparkling wines are full of healthy benefits
While Champagne is known for its luxurious taste, it also contains calories, sugar, and alcohol, which can have negative health effects. The French Bloom collection is a healthier option, with fewer calories, made from organic ingredients and with no alcoholic content. They are also a great choice for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have medical conditions that prevent them from consuming alcohol.
In conclusion, while there are some similarities between Champagne and alcohol-free sparkling wines, there are also significant differences in their origin, production, taste, and health benefits. Ultimately, the choice between the two comes down to personal preference and circumstances. So, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to enjoy a glass of bubbly, there's a sparkling wine out there for everyone. Cheers!
